Flood Alert

River Lambourn and its tributaries from Upper Lambourn down to Newbury

Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels remain high due to high groundwater levels in the area. However, following drier conditions, levels are falling very slowly on the Winterbourne Stream and the River Lambourn. Flooding of low lying land and roads remains possible, especially in the Bagnor area. This week is forecast to remain predominantly dry. River levels are expected to remain high over the coming days. Levels will be sensitive to further rainfall. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. This message will be updated on Monday morning, 07/04/25, or as the situation changes.
