Groundwater flooding in the Lambourn Valley catchment

Groundwater levels are currently stable at our Longacre borehole in the Lambourn Valley. However, groundwater levels remain above normal for this time of year and communities may be affected by groundwater flooding within the coming weeks if levels begin rising again. We expect levels to remain sensitive to further sustained rainfall. Low-lying land, roads and basements could be at risk of flooding. Due to the nature of groundwater flooding, this situation could continue for several weeks or longer. We are continuing to monitor groundwater levels and will update this message in a week, 21/01/2025 or as the situation changes.
