Rising river levels this evening may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible when river levels are at their highest from 4:30 PM on 24/11/2024.
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Lower Dorset Stour, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around tributaries between Wimborne and Christchurch.
Further flooding is possible overnight as river levels are rising steadily due to heavy rainfall.
We are closely monitoring the situation and checking rivers for blockages.
Monitor local water levels and weather conditions.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses.
