Lower Avon and tributaries

River levels in the Lower Avon remain just above the Flood Alert threshold due to high groundwater and the recent rainfall. A Flood Alert remains in force for the wider area, so flooding of roads and low lying land is still possible. Areas most at risk include tributaries between Ringwood and Christchurch. Rainfall is forecast for the next few days but low totals are expected. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses.
