Groundwater flooding in the Cranborne Chase area

Groundwater levels are still high but have been very slowly dropping in the last week. We are expecting some further rainfall in the coming days, although with low daily totals. We are not currently predicting a rise in groundwater levels due to this rain. Flooding of fields and roads is possible. Areas most at risk include: the Iwerne and the Pimperne Brook areas. Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed. We will continue to monitor the situation closely. This message will be updated by 12:00 PM on 25/02/2025.
