This message has been issued because flooding of homes and businesses is likely today, Friday 22nd November, and for at least the next 24 hours. The forecast high tide at Great Yarmouth will restrict the Broads river system from draining out to sea, which will result in higher than normal water levels within the Broads. We expect to see high water levels around Potter Heigham, Wroxham boat yards and Ferry Road in Horning. We are not currently expecting the situation to escalate, or to issue any further warning messages at this time. Take care on waterside roads and footpaths, and don't put yourself in unnecessary danger. We are monitoring the situation. We will update this message by 10am tomorrow, Saturday 23rd November, or as the situation changes.
