River Avon at Wyre Piddle

River levels remain high at the Evesham river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall.  Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected to continue.  We expect flooding to affect properties and roads in Wyre Piddle including Wyre Piddle caravan park. Eckington Road impassable.  Predicted peak:- Evesham 2.9m to 3.2m Monday evening, 25/11/24.  Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours.  We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days.  We are closely monitoring the situation.  Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services and Local Authorities.    Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and avoid contact with flood water.    This message will be updated by 8:00am tomorrow, Tuesday 26/11/2024, or as the situation changes.
